Button making
Camp BEL is pleased to offer a craft activity, button making! This activity is well known by anyone attending DICC or DIBC and these camp organizers have agreed to share access to the tools and craft material for use by your Scouting group at camp.
This activity involves youth picking an image from a variety that have been pre-printed, using a special hole cutter, then placing the image inside the button, followed by adding the other side, and then lastly placing the two halves in the button press with a clear cover to be sealed together to create their very own ~2 inch button!
There are a variety of pre-printed images available for youth to select, from thematic images tied to dragons, wizards, and pirates to popular youth pop culture references including those from recent camp themes. Groups can also bring their own printed images to be used, just ask ahead for the exact print size. (We don't provide this on the website in case the exact button size changes over time with the source of supply.)
There is a small cost of 50¢ per button to help cover the cost of materials. See your Ranger when arriving at camp and for more information.
